Senator Michael Lee grew up in Dunn, North Carolina. He attended UNCW and UNC Chapel Hill where he recieved his bachelor's degree. Lee then went on to attend law school at Wake Forest. He currently practices law at Lee Law Firm, PLLC.
Commissioner Woody White was elected to serve a four-year term from 12/3/2012 to 12/2016. He has been a life-long resident of Southeastern North Carolina and he received his J.D. Degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law, 1994 after receiving his B.S. from Southern College, Chattanooga, TN. He has practiced law in New Hanover County since 1995 and owns the law firm of Woody White Law PLLC. Woody White has an extensive background as a successful businessman, community leader, public official, litigating attorney, and strategic planner.
New Hanover County GOP Chair Michael Franklin is a native of Wilmington and graduate of Auburn University (degree in accounting).Michael has been Vice Chair of the NHC GOP for the past two years and active in the Lower Cape Fear Young Republicans. He sits on the Board of Directors of ACCESS of Wilmington (founders of the Miracle League), and is the Assistant Varsity Coach of the Hoggard High School Men’s and Women’s Varsity Swim Team.
Board of Election member Jamie Getty is a Republican who was inducted this year as the Secretary of the Board of Elections. He has been an Associate Attorney at Block, Crouch, Keeter, Behm & Sayed LLP since 2012,
Dylan Lee served on the 2014 Cucalorus Film Festival Board. He is also an instructor at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington in the Communications Studies department. He currently works for the city of Wilmington helping with Public Engagement, Media Relations and PR.
Jack Hughes previously served as the president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He saw the Student Adminstration Act (SAE) pass and the strong effects it has had since then.
